For half a century Nordic School of Public Health NHV has been a meeting place for Nordic Public Health Science. Here at NHV we address current problems and new developing tendencies within the field of public health. Our students, who are all professionally active, return to us again and again. An important reason for this is probably not only the educational content but also our approach. There is a difference teaching more experienced and knowledgeable adults compared to young university students. You can therefore expect a unique educational experience at NHV. You will also be given the possibility to build a network anchored in the entire Nordic region, something which can mean a lot for You in Your future professional life.
During the last couple of years NHV's course selection has changed. Primarily we offer courses that are not available at ordinary universities and university colleges and therefore try to complement rather than compete. There is however still the possibility to not only take individual courses but degrees at master's- and doctoral level at NHV. The courses can also be counted as credits if You wish to obtain a degree at another university or university college. The difference between obtaining a degree at NHV compared to others is also that degrees at NHV are adapted to fit the needs of the profession. More and more of our courses are carried out via distance, which means that the need to be away from home decreases.
All our previous students know that one of our biggest assets is our campus. It is situated near the entrance to the port of Gothenburg, in a beautiful surrounding. Students are given access to bicycles and a sailing boat and our student rooms are comfortable and well equipped.
